Voice that doesn't drop
Necro's call audio runs through a server of its own, tuned for the internet in Iran. With the Opus codec and backup packets, your voice stays smooth even when the connection wobbles.

What is Necro?
Necro is a free messenger for friends and communities. It puts chats and groups, voice and video calls, servers with text and voice channels, group games and one-link online meetings in one place. Necro works in the browser (web.necro.ir), on Windows and as an Android app, with the same account everywhere.
Is Necro free?
Yes. Creating an account, chats, calls, servers and games are all free.
Do I need a phone number to sign up?
Yes, an Iranian mobile number to receive the verification code. If you live outside Iran, you can sign up without one; your account opens once an admin approves it.
Who can see my number?
Nobody, by default. In privacy settings you can show it to your friends or to everyone. What we keep about you and what we do with it is set out in the Necro privacy policy.
Where do I download Necro?
Get the Windows app (Windows 10 and 11) from the download section of this page; once installed, it keeps itself up to date.
For the Android app, open this page on your Android phone and tap “Download the Android app”.
The web version works in any browser, with nothing to install.
How do I use Necro on my phone?
On Android you can install the Necro app (the “Download the Android app” button at the top of this page, when you open it on the phone).
Without installing anything, open web.necro.ir in your phone's browser and sign in. To open it from your home screen like an app:
on iPhone, tap the Share button in Safari, then “Add to Home Screen”;
on Android, open the Chrome menu and tap “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
How is the Windows app different from the web version?
The features are the same. On top of that, the Windows app starts with Windows, updates itself, shows incoming calls even in the middle of a game, has push-to-talk across all of Windows and recognizes the game you're running.
Why “beta”?
Necro is updated all the time and keeps getting new features, so things may change now and then. The web version is always the latest one, and the Windows app updates itself.
